The State of California has just issued a new decision, which will provide $3.1 billion for the State's energy efficiency programs. In this interview by Essinova host, BeiBei Song, at the US-China Green Energy Forum, Ms. Dian M. Grueneich, Commissioner of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) describes the new programs and discusses the progress and challenges in the State's energy efficiency efforts, as well as initiatives collaborating with China and India.
Dian M. Grueneich was appointed to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in January 2005 and unanimously confirmed by the State Senate in May for a six year term.
She is a nationally recognized expert in energy and environmental issues, with over 30 years experience. At the CPUC, she focuses on transmission planning and permitting, energy efficiency, climate change, renewable energy resources, and low income consumer issues.
